On 30th June Safe & Sound Derby will bid a fond farewell to Sheila Taylor after more than six years at the helm. Sheila has been appointed to the newly created post of Director at the National Working Group for Sexually Exploited Children and Young People (the NWG).
The NWG is an umbrella network representing other organisations working to support children and young people who are sexually exploited (see www.nwg.org.uk for more information). As the organisation's Director Sheila will continue to campaign for more understanding of, and a better response to, the victims of child sexual exploitation.
Sheila will be very much missed by everyone involved with Safe & Sound, but her future work will continue this important fight for recognition of all victims of this heinous crime. We wish her all the very best for the future, and are sure that she won't be a stranger!
Nathalie Walters will take up the role of Interim Chief Executive of Safe & Sound Derby from 1st July 2011.
